What I Stand For<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

During my tenure as Chief Deputy, and Sheriff of Baldwin County, we have worked hard to keep surrounding criminal areas from expanding here. During this time, I’ve overseen the implementation of a multi-agency partnership to place safety officers in our schools. This first-of-its-kind program in Alabama saw more than 100 officers trained and deployed in schools across Baldwin County, protecting our children like never before. This unique program also provided intelligence operations on growing juvenile crime in our area, thwarting drug and gang expansion.<\/p>

At the same time, we’ve also expanded our partnerships with the FBI, Border Patrol, Homeland Security and local law enforcement groups. These efforts have been very successful in removing illegal aliens, international and regional gangs, as well as drug cartels\u2014making Baldwin County safer.<\/p>

My focus has also been on expanding both the force and facilities across our county. During my leadership tenure we’ve added\u00a0approximately 44 new law enforcement officers and 58 corrections officers\u00a0expanding our team by 40%. In January we will complete the construction of a new jail facility which will significantly increase our capacity and security.<\/p>

I’m proud of what we\u2019ve accomplished, but I\u2019m even more motivated by what lies ahead. Baldwin County is growing, and with that growth comes greater challenges. I\u2019ve been encouraged by the support from federal authorities in removing illegal residents, but I remain concerned about rising crime pressures from neighboring areas. That\u2019s why I\u2019m committed to growing our force and, with it, strengthening public safety. The hard work and dedication from our outstanding deputies is what will continue to protect Baldwin County. By investing in our people and our assets, we\u2019re not just protecting lives\u2014we\u2019re safeguarding the peace, homes, and way of life our citizens value. \u2018To Protect and Serve\u2019 isn\u2019t just a slogan\u2014it\u2019s a promise I make every time I put on the badge.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
